GTA 6 Map Locations: Every Confirmed Place Rockstar Has Revealed
So, what are the GTA 6 map locations Rockstar has actually confirmed?
Right now, Rockstar has officially profiled six major destinations across Leonida: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers, and Mount Kalaga National Park. These aren’t fan-made labels – Rockstar has dedicated official screenshots and artwork to each of them.
And that immediately tells us something important about GTA 6.
Vice City is no longer the whole map. It’s the center of a much larger state.
Rockstar still hasn’t published a complete, labelled map showing every road, neighborhood and settlement, so this guide sticks to the locations Rockstar has actually revealed rather than mixing confirmed information with fan maps and leaks.
Gamer take: Rockstar basically gave us six pieces of the puzzle and said, “Good luck figuring out what’s between them.” 😂
GTA 6 Map Locations: The Confirmed List
| Location | What it represents |
|---|---|
| Vice City | Leonida’s major urban center |
| Leonida Keys | Tropical island and coastal region |
| Port Gellhorn | Run-down coastal community |
| Ambrosia | Industrial and working-class side of Leonida |
| Grassrivers | Wetland and rural environment |
| Mount Kalaga National Park | Wilderness and northern natural region |
Rockstar’s official media gives each of these locations its own visual identity, which is one of the clearest signs that GTA 6 is designed around a collection of distinct environments rather than one giant city.
1. Vice City
Let’s start with the obvious one.
Vice City is the heart of GTA 6.
But the important detail is that Rockstar isn’t simply recreating the city from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and calling it a day.
This is a modern Vice City – a sprawling coastal metropolis surrounded by the rest of Leonida.
Rockstar’s official screenshots show skyscrapers, beaches, highways, waterways, nightlife and dense urban areas. The GTA 6 Extended Look also gave us a closer look at Vice City and the wider Leonida setting.
That’s what makes the new Vice City interesting.
In the 2002 game, Vice City was the world.
In GTA 6, Vice City is part of the world.
That sounds like a small distinction, but it changes the entire structure of the game.
You can have your dense city, then leave it behind and move into a completely different part of Leonida without ever leaving the same state.
2. Leonida Keys
Head away from the city and the environment changes fast.
The Leonida Keys are Rockstar’s tropical island region, built around bright water, small islands and coastal environments. Rockstar has dedicated official screenshot and postcard material to the Keys, confirming them as one of the game’s major destinations.
They also matter to the story.
Rockstar’s official character material establishes that Jason has worked for local drug runners in the Keys, tying the region directly to his background rather than treating it as scenery that exists just for sightseeing.
That gives the Keys a different role from Vice City.
Vice City is dense, crowded and urban.
The Keys are more isolated, tropical and surrounded by water.
And that contrast could make travelling around Leonida feel much more varied than GTA 5’s mostly land-based road trips.
3. Port Gellhorn
Then there’s Port Gellhorn, one of the most visually distinct GTA 6 map locations so far.
Forget the glossy side of Vice City.
Port Gellhorn looks rougher, older and more worn down.
Rockstar’s official material presents it as a separate coastal destination, giving Leonida a place that feels very different from the wealth and neon associated with Vice City.
That contrast is important.
If every part of GTA 6 looked like Vice City, the map would quickly start feeling like one giant city with different loading zones.
Port Gellhorn suggests Rockstar is doing something else.
Different communities.
Different economies.
Different atmospheres.
Different reasons to be there.
That makes the map feel more like a state than a collection of city blocks.
4. Ambrosia
Ambrosia takes GTA 6 further away from the beach-and-neon image that dominated the early conversation.
Rockstar has officially profiled Ambrosia through its GTA VI screenshots and artwork, establishing it as one of Leonida’s major named locations.
What stands out is its more industrial character.
This is the kind of environment that makes Leonida feel economically varied rather than visually varied for the sake of it.
You have luxury and tourism in Vice City.
Coastal life in the Keys.
A worn-down port environment in Port Gellhorn.
Then industrial Leonida in Ambrosia.
That’s a much more believable state structure – and it gives Rockstar room for stories and characters that don’t belong in Vice City’s wealthy neighborhoods.
5. Grassrivers
If Vice City is the part of GTA 6 people will recognize instantly, Grassrivers is the kind of location that shows what Rockstar is doing differently with the wider world.
Grassrivers is the wetland side of Leonida.
Rockstar has officially showcased the region through dedicated GTA VI media, making it one of the six major confirmed destinations.
And visually, the contrast is huge.
Instead of:
Traffic → skyscrapers → storefronts → beaches
you’re looking at:
Waterways → wetlands → vegetation → wildlife → rural environments
That’s not just a visual change.
It can change how players move through the map.
A city road gives you speed and traffic.
A wetland environment can make exploration slower, less predictable and much more dependent on waterways and smaller routes.
That’s the kind of variety that can make a large map actually feel large.
6. Mount Kalaga National Park
Finally, Rockstar has revealed Mount Kalaga National Park, a major wilderness area that pushes Leonida into a completely different environment.
The official GTA VI media includes multiple dedicated screenshots of Mount Kalaga National Park, confirming it as one of the game’s major named locations.
And this one matters because it destroys the idea that GTA 6 is simply going to be:
Miami + more Miami.
Mount Kalaga gives the map a northern wilderness component, with forests, rugged terrain and natural environments that contrast sharply with Vice City’s dense urban landscape.
So the map now has a clear environmental progression:
Vice City → islands → coastal communities → industrial areas → wetlands → wilderness
And that is probably more important than any individual location name.
Is the Entire GTA 6 Map Confirmed?
No.
This is where you need to be careful with the phrase “confirmed GTA 6 map.”
Rockstar has officially named and profiled the six major destinations above, but it has not published a complete official map showing every road, neighborhood, county boundary or settlement connecting them.
So if you find a fan-made map covered in dozens of extra names, don’t assume they’re all Rockstar-confirmed.
There are now community databases that catalogue many additional places, but those often mix officially shown locations with leaked or inferred material.
That’s a major difference.
A location being:
- visible in Rockstar footage,
- mentioned in an official source,
- inferred from environmental clues,
- present in leaked material, or
- mapped by fans
doesn’t give it the same level of certainty.
That’s why KarmaVerse separates confirmed information from community reconstruction instead of presenting everything on one map as fact.
What Do These GTA 6 Map Locations Tell Us About Leonida?
This is the part I find more interesting than the actual list.
Rockstar could have made GTA 6 bigger simply by stretching roads farther away from Vice City.
Instead, the confirmed locations suggest a different strategy.
Vice City gives us dense urban life.
Leonida Keys give us tropical islands and water.
Port Gellhorn gives us a rougher coastal environment.
Ambrosia adds industry.
Grassrivers brings wetlands and rural terrain.
Mount Kalaga adds wilderness.
So the map isn’t just expanding outward.
It’s expanding sideways.
More environments. More types of communities. More reasons for different parts of Leonida to feel distinct.
And that’s exactly what you want from a huge open world.
A large map gives you distance.
A varied map gives you somewhere worth going.

KarmaVerse Verdict: GTA 6 Isn't Just Bringing Back Vice City
The six confirmed GTA 6 map locations already tell us what Rockstar is really doing.
Vice City is the headline. Leonida is the world.
And that’s a much more interesting setup than simply rebuilding an old GTA city with better graphics.
You’ve got a major metropolis, tropical islands, a faded coastal community, industrial areas, wetlands and a national park – all inside one state. Rockstar’s official media confirms each of those six major destinations, but the complete map between them is still unrevealed.
That leaves us with the best question of all:
What exactly is Rockstar hiding between these six locations?
Because if this is what they’ve shown us before launch, Leonida might have a lot more stories between the dots.
Rockstar gave us six pieces of the puzzle. Now we just have to figure out what the hell is between them. 😂
